Managed Hosting Lifecycle

This guide explains what happens over the lifetime of your managed Legend instance: upgrading to a higher tier, downgrading, and canceling.

Tier Upgrades

Tier upgrades are instantaneous. When you upgrade, your instance is resized to the new tier’s resources and a new license is applied automatically. There is no downtime and no need to re-enter a license key. New tier features become available immediately.

Downgrades

Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. Until then, your instance keeps running on your current tier. When the downgrade takes effect, features that exceed the lower tier’s limits are disabled and entities that exceed the new limits are deactivated (not deleted).

Cancellation

When you cancel your managed plan:

1. Your instance is paused at the end of the current billing cycle
2. Your data is preserved for 30 days after cancellation
3. After 7 days, an email is sent with a link to export your data

Data Export

A data export link is emailed 7 days after cancellation. Download your data before the 30-day preservation window ends if you want to keep it.
